For those of you that still think exercise is the most important factor in reducing love handles and when you are trying to lose weight, then think again. Your diet is now recognized as the main catalyst in weight loss and what you put in your mouth will determine whether you will make your goal weight.

You need to check what diet you are eating now. If you are a massive junk food fan then this is not going to be good for your waist line. Carbohydrates and snacking will both make you put on weight where as if you cut these out, this will help you shift some fat. Write down all that you eat for a week and you will soon see the truth.

You will need to figure out what you are trying to achieve. Only you can know what diet will be best for you and you alone. Do you have allergies? How much do you want to lose? Are all factors that need to be considered when developing a diet for yourself.

The food groups your body needs to have in order for it to feel ’safe’ about it burning fat is protein, fats, salad and vegetables. Not any junk food such as, chocolate, crisps, sweets, rice, pasta and bread. These spike your blood sugar levels, causing insulin to be released and insulin then stored the sugar as fats. Not good if you are trying to lose fat.

Your body feels safe and OK to burn fat when it has all the right components that make a good diet. If it is lacking these, or feels starved, does not get enough rest it will want to keep fat on the body in order to survive. So getting all the nutrients lets the body know that it is OK to burn fat as you are not in any danger of dying.

You cannot out train a bad diet, but you can out diet bad training.
