The USDA food pyramid was created for the purpose of selling the products of the corporate food producers, not to promote the health of US citizens. It is completed backwards and should be completely fismissed by americans.

It’s so sad there aren’t much “real food” left on store shelves. Processed food provides more suger in itself then in the past, which means that we eat much more suger then the “recommended” amount if we eat a lot of non-real food. To save Earth, world economy, and farmers, I personally think we should consume organic food.
I think they should enforce cooking class in public schools instead of it being an elective. The problem is that most people don’t know how to cook so they keep ordering out or buying microwavable processed food.
We have plenty of good food, unfortunately most people choose to eat the garbage processed “food” instead of real food.
People need to stop making stupid comments and grow up.

I believe that the larger ammounts suggested imply the importance of such foods in your diet, more so than others.
