Nicole talking about nutrion! I put it here because it was a little smaller in flash than the original. media.crossfit.com

www.youtube.com There is no such thing as “6-pack abs fast”. You cant buy 6-pack abs from an infomercial or get them from a bottle. Getting 6-pack abs is simple but takes alot of work – eat less and exercise more. This video goes into depth on nutrition for muscle gain and weight loss. I show you 8 very healthy meals that you can make in 3 minutes or less.Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn’t have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts. For more information on home workouts, please see my free website (no advertising either): www.scoobysworkshop.com Nutrition is key to losing fat and getting 6-pack abs! I cover nutrition on my website, if thats not detailed enough for you I have reviewed and recommended some excellent books scoobysworkshop.com Limitation of Liability: Consult with your doctor before starting any exercise program! Plateauing is the result of adaptation by the central nervous system, not poor nutrition. I eat like shit sometimes, but i rotate my exercises every 2 or 3 weeks, so I continue to see gains.

    @denisesmeesh

She comes across arrogant, that’s why. She overvalues the role of nutrition for record breaking performance. Nutrition isn’t rocket science, and certainly not worth the seminar these people paid for. Plus, her build isn’t anything special, that is not testimony to the effectiveness. There are plenty of women who don’t do anything as strenous who look better. Genetic endowement can be easily dismissed for an effective protocol.

@vinni2O definitely same boat as you. LOL, glucagon is released from the pancreas when there is an absence of sugar in the blood or when the levels are too low and need to be raised. And insulin blocks the release of triglycerides/triacylglycerol from the adipocytes.

@eniko1 Well, science IS an opinion, – i can’t believe you are so naive. Science is based on 1) Commercial interest (many researches are business-sponsored) . 2) Wrong assumptions (EACH research is based on assumptions). 3) WRONG results interpretation. 4) Scientists’ EGO – people go with a scientific mainstream in order to get published and get a good job position. Scientists ARE PEOPLE. Paleo is what humans ate 99% of their history!!! Tell me, why does this need to be proven?

@stormholloway Science becomes unanimous after a rigorous process of peer review and testing. If you want unanimity from the get-go, start your own kingdom…or join a church.

  19. stormholloway
    November 5th, 2011 at 02:20 | #19

I also just read a NY Times article that quoted a scientist who said that brisk walking was the best exercise. It’s a recent article. You can search it. In other words: science is not unanimous.

@denisesmeesh It’s funny how in the 5 months since you posted that bullshit, nobody called you out for committing the fallacy of limited choice. “If you’re so smart, why aren’t you rich/fit/famous?” Because there are other conclusions to draw. A fat person can make valid points re: nutrition provided they’re backed by facts. By your “rationale,” you would never listen to anything Muhammad Ali has to say about boxing b/c he can’t box. The message matters more than the messenger.

@eniko1 I don’t know what you think that you know about me, but I do not need the scientific method spelled out for me. About the diet question, I haven’t kept up with the research lately, but the last time I had checked there were some studies that contradict that opinion. I don’t care to argue about this, but I will discuss it.

Scooby! I found a great “meal” at the store the other day that only has 270 calories, 15 of those from fat. It wasn’t frozen, and doesn’t need to be chilled before opening!
It was a Teriyaki Chicken with rice Hormel “Compleats” meal.

i find it interesting that you use the microwave as much as you do. i’ve read a lot of health articles that say microwaves change the energy of food into something that your body doesn’t recognize, but processes it anyway….who knows if it’s true of not.

anyway, thanks for the video, it gave me a lot of good ideas. i also think you have the ideal male physic.

My 15 year old friend is trying to get to 100kgs. He aims to put on around 5 kilos while gaining fitness. Do you think thats healthy? Do you have anything I could reccomend him to eat while doing this? BTW if you only saw your face, you wouldn’t realise how big you are lol. I was like, is that photoshopped? lol.

My naturopath doctor recommended soy milk for me, however I chose to go elsewhere for my liquids because soy milk tends to have extremely high sugar content.

I have become a huge fan of your videos, I’ve emailed my boss (who puts out a health newsletter for our employees, so many lifeguards will be watching soon!) links to them.

Thank you so much for your videos. They are simple, easy to do, and most of all, they make the process entertaining and fun. you have done a great community service.

Since I am recommending 6 small meals here, the last meal of the day is not going to be very big, 300cals for the average person. Its true that pigging out and then going to bed is bad for weight loss but the meals I am suggesting are fine.

  36. scooby1961
    November 5th, 2011 at 11:48 | #36

I dont recommend protein bars at all for those trying to lose weight. If you need something ultrafast, I would recommend a can of nonfat turkey chili over a protein bar. The protein bars have lots of sugar and no fiber.

  37. scooby1961
    November 5th, 2011 at 12:19 | #37

Most of the foods I recommend here are pretty darn cheap. If you have time, make your own beans and rice as that is the cheapest form of protein you can buy and it just might be the healthiest. A 50lb sack of dry beans at costco is about $13 bucks and it will feed you for months.

Soy milk is great for those who cant tolerate milk or are vegans. It tends to have fat in it though which I do not like at all, if you can find fat free soy milk that would be best.

Hey Scooby is it also true that we’re not suppose to eat after 8 PM. My brother has been going to the gym for years, and he tells me the reason I’m overweight is because I eat too late in the day( and I don’t eat fast food)

Hi Scooby, I have a health eating question. What is “sugar alc.” I recently bought a bunch of protein bars that I thought were zero sugar. After I left the store, I noticed a category I have never seen before. It says “sugar alc 20g.” Is it okay to eat if I am trying to eat health, lose fat, and gain muscle?
