@fradkhan – you need to eat a balanced meal. You should never overdo protein. 1.5 gms per kg body weight is more than enough. The carbs that you have will let you gain or lose weight. It is the fuel for the body. The protein is to help build and repair the muscle once you have trained. If you train right and eat good balanced complex carbs you should find you will settle down with your stomach. I have found I cannot have dairy and wheat products. That might be something to have checked. Baz

@and551 – thanks very much for the compliment. I think taking a protein shake depends on how you are. If you are thin then you can have it about 1/2 to 1 hour before or after depending on how you feel. If you are over weight then not for a few hours before or an hour after. Baz

@and551 – thank you for the compliment. If you are thin about 1/2 to 1 hour before and if you want to burn off fat then an hour after your training. It really is up to you and some people will say before others after. I sometimes will have about 40 minutes before it really depends on how I feel. I seldom ever have on after. Do what you believe right for you. Baz

Some people will say you can eat during your training other will say abstain. If you are thin then you probably can eat about an hour either way and have a protein drink straight after your training. Do what you feel is the best for you. That is what is probably right. Food is very much a trial and error thing as we are all different with the amounts and how fast our metabolism works. Use your commons sense my friend. Baz

@Ronin72Uk – try to use common sense. I do not eat just before training or just after. When I want to lose weight I do not eat for a few hours before. Other wise i might have a protein drink up to 40 minutes before. Never for an hour after though as you continue to burn fat for at least and hour after.

Hi Baz is there a cut off time before training when you can not eat anything ie 1 hour?
The reason I ask this is that I am under the impression that the body uses blood to assist in the process of breaking down food, and also that blood carries oxygen arround the body to aid the muscles when training and that if you eat and train the body can not do both at the same time, this is when the body is prone to stomach cramps, whats the truth, thanks rob.

@zaaaaak17 – You will need to increase your carbs intake. I do not think you will put on too much weight because you are very active. I would not increase too much but do it in little increments and you will be happy with the results. Baz

@niveaskin1 – I have not found it to be a problem. If you can use fresh than that would be even better if you have a problem with the sodium. I try to take low fat, low sodium in most things I buy but I do not go overboard on it. I think most things in moderation are fine. Baz

@pckben – Thanks for the compliment. Muscle use calories even when you sleep. For that reason I find that I eat even at 9 pm at night without any problems. The last meal can be a bit lighter like cottage cheese and yoghurt. or scrambled egg on a slice of whole wheat toast. Other wise eat about ever 2 to 3 hours throughout the day min 6 samll meals. Baz

Excellent video! I have a question: is there any time in a day that I should not have my meal, eg: I heard that eating at late evening when your body is resting builds fats? Thanks,
    Ben

@shawndx100 – the best things in life often take a lot of effort. That is why so few people get the successes they want. You will have to put in the effort to see the results. Baz
